Protection Symbols.
Aegishjalmur, the Helm of Awe and the symbols carved for safekeeping.

ᚦ · About this hall
The Hall of Protection Symbols holds the marks the old North used to ward, shield and keep safe. Aegishjalmur — the Helm of Awe — was painted between the brows of warriors and inked into Icelandic grimoires. Vegvisir guided travellers through storm and fog. Mjölnir hung at the throat as a sign that Thor watched the wearer. Beyond these you'll find bind runes, galdrastafir staves and household marks meant to protect home, livestock and journey. Articles in this hall trace each protection symbol to its source manuscripts and archaeology, separating Viking-age practice from later Icelandic magic and modern reinvention.
