The Hall of Norse Gods & Mythology walks the long stories of the North as they were told in the Poetic Edda, the Prose Edda and the Icelandic sagas. Here you'll meet Odin the wanderer, Thor and his hammer, Freyja of the Vanir, Loki the shape-changer, the three Norns weaving fate at the roots of Yggdrasil, and the nine worlds held within its branches. Articles cover the great cycles — the creation, the binding of Fenrir, the death of Baldr, the road to Ragnarök — alongside smaller, stranger tales the skalds preserved. The aim is the mythology as the old Norse actually told it, with sources cited, not the cinematic retelling.
