ᛟ · The meaning behind the design

Symbols carried, not borrowed.

Wolves howling beneath the moon are one of the oldest images in Northern European folklore, often associated with the wild, watchful spirit of midwinter nights. In Norse mythology, wolves carry particular weight — Sköll and Hati are said to chase the sun and moon across the sky, and Fenrir looms over the myths of Ragnarök — though this design keeps to the broader, more universal symbolism of the wolf and moon rather than depicting one specific figure. Winter Solstice itself was marked long before Christmas by Norse and Germanic peoples as Yule, a turning point in the depth of winter when the return of light was honored. Reflection, rebirth and awakening are apt words for that threshold.

Loved by rune-seekers around the world

  • This is more than a tee shirt — it is truly a work of art. High quality, and I could speak about the design placement and see a picture before shipment. My name in runes makes it a very unique item. Shipping was swift.
