Eric Bloodaxe — Eiríkr Haraldsson — was King of Norway and, twice, King of Northumbria, ruling from the Norse stronghold of Jorvik (York) in the 10th century. His life of exile, ambition and reinvention is now the subject of Amazon Prime Video's Bloodaxe.
