ᛟ · The meaning behind the design
Symbols carried, not borrowed.
Erik Bloodaxe — Eirík Haraldsson — ruled Norway from around 930 to 934, then held Northumbria at York not once but twice, first from 947–948 and again from 952 until his death in 954. The axe was both his weapon and, by most readings, the source of his name — blóðøx, Bloodaxe. This portrait honours the warrior reputation the sagas gave him, still remembered a thousand years on.

“This is more than a tee shirt — it is truly a work of art. High quality, and I could speak about the design placement and see a picture before shipment. My name in runes makes it a very unique item. Shipping was swift.”
