ᛏᚨᛏᛏᛟᛟ · Jörmungandr
The myths tell of Thor's fishing trip, when he hooked the serpent with an ox head as bait. The scene is carved on Viking Age stones such as the Altuna runestone in Sweden and the Gosforth fishing stone in England.
At Ragnarök, Thor and Jörmungandr finally kill each other: Thor strikes the serpent dead, walks nine steps and falls from its venom.
Cycles, endurance and the boundary that holds the world together, and the idea that endings and beginnings are linked.
